Home-Schooling

Sandra’s House is not a school. We provide facilitation, lessons, and workshops for learners who are enrolled with DISTANCE LEARNING and ONLINE curricula.

We offer services for various curriculum providers for CAPS, Cambridge and GED (and pre-GED from age 12).

Sandra's House has between 30-40 learners, in 4 groups: gr.4-6, gr.7-9, GED, and Gr.10-12 . We have 4 permanent teachers and various part-time tutors.

Our teaching styles and class setup depends on the grades.

We work with parents to determine what their needs are and what the focus of our work with them should be.

Sandra’s House group classes run from 8.00 – 13.45 with individual classes from 14.00 – 17.00. We charge learners based on how many days per week they come in for lessons.

Legalities:

According to S.A. law, home-schooling parents are responsible for their children’s learning and learning takes place at home, however, they can make use of a tutor/s. Learners gr.4-9 must be registered through the department of education. As a tutoring center, Sandra’s House will not check up on the legalities of your situation, or what you do with your child at home.
